Cybervize Pitch Day Berlin: AI Cybersecurity Meets Investors

Pitch Day in Berlin: When DeepTech Takes the Stage
The Pitch Day in Berlin is over, and the impressions are still fresh. Yesterday, I stood on stage for Cybervize at the legendary Berlin club Schokoladen to present our AI-powered cybersecurity management platform to an audience of cybersecurity investors. It was a special moment to stand on the same stage where bands like Die Ärzte have performed. Except yesterday, instead of punk rock, DeepTech took center stage. The energy in the room was extraordinary and inspiring.
The Cybersecurity Founder Community: A Network Full of Energy
I'm proud and grateful to be part of this cybersecurity founder community. The conversations were honest, intense, and valuable. It was great to see many familiar faces again: Dr. Dominic Steinhöfel, Tobias Heldt, Torsten Katthöfer, and Philipp Dewald, to name just a few. Hearing how their companies and projects have developed was both inspiring and motivating.
What Makes Founders Special
Founders are a special breed. What I love about them and what drives them all are three core characteristics:
- Curiosity: The insatiable desire to understand problems and find new solutions
- Courage: The willingness to take risks and leave beaten paths
- Perseverance: The ability to keep going even in difficult times
This combination makes the startup world so dynamic and innovative, especially in the field of cybersecurity, where the threat landscape changes daily.
Cybervize: AI-Powered Cybersecurity Management Platform
Our platform Cybervize addresses a central challenge for German small and medium-sized enterprises: How can companies effectively manage their IT security without having massive security teams? The answer lies in intelligent automation and AI-powered processes.
The Challenge for SMEs
Many medium-sized companies face similar problems:
- Complex compliance requirements such as NIS2, GDPR, or industry-specific regulations
- Shortage of skilled workers in IT security
- Limited budgets for expensive security solutions
- Lack of transparency about their own security posture
The Solution: AI-Powered Automation
Cybervize addresses exactly these challenges and offers an intelligent platform that helps companies structure, automate, and continuously improve their cybersecurity processes. Through the use of artificial intelligence, risks can be identified early, compliance requirements met, and security measures prioritized.
Feedback and Valuable Conversations
The feedback on my pitch was consistently positive. Particularly valuable were the conversations with Stefan Balzer, Thorben Rothe, and Frederik von Bossel, who provided constructive and honest feedback. Such conversations are worth their weight in gold for any founder, as they help sharpen one's own strategy and identify blind spots.
I'm already looking forward to the follow-up conversations that will result from this event. The Pitch Day showed that there is great interest in innovative cybersecurity solutions, especially when they are based on AI and DeepTech.
Thanks to the Organizers and the Community
A big thank you goes to the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security for the excellent organization of the event. Such events are essential for the startup scene, as they bring together founders, investors, and experts and enable valuable exchange.
Shout-out to the Teams
Particularly impressive was the quality of the other presenting teams. A shout-out goes to:
- Detesia
- contextx.ai
- CyberTide
- LINK2AI GmbH
- XOR
- InputLab
- VISS
Each of these companies is working on innovative solutions in the field of cybersecurity and DeepTech. It's inspiring to see how much innovative power exists in the German and European startup scene.
Why DeepTech Startups Are Indispensable in Cybersecurity
The threat landscape in cybersecurity is becoming increasingly complex. Attackers are increasingly using automated tools and AI to find and exploit vulnerabilities. To keep up with this arms race, we need innovative solutions based on cutting-edge technologies.
The Role of AI in Cybersecurity
Artificial intelligence plays a key role in defending against modern cyber attacks:
- Anomaly detection: AI systems can identify unusual patterns in network traffic
- Predictive analytics: Prediction of potential attacks based on historical data
- Automated response: Quick reaction to detected threats without human intervention
- Compliance monitoring: Continuous monitoring of compliance with security standards
Lessons Learned: What I Take Away from Pitch Day
Every event of this kind offers valuable learning opportunities. Here are my most important insights:
1. Storytelling Is Crucial
A good pitch is more than just facts and figures. It's about telling a story that emotionally touches the audience while clearly communicating the problem solution.
2. Networking Is Worth Its Weight in Gold
The most valuable moments were often not on stage, but in the conversations afterward. The exchange with other founders and investors opens doors and creates synergies.
3. Accept and Implement Feedback
Constructive feedback is a gift. It helps expand one's own perspective and optimize strategy.
4. The Community Strengthens
The cybersecurity founder community is supportive and collegial. The exchange of experiences and best practices helps all participants.
Outlook: The Next Steps for Cybervize
Pitch Day was an important milestone, but it's just one step on a longer journey. The next steps for Cybervize include:
- In-depth conversations with interested investors
- Further development of the platform based on the feedback received
- Expansion of our presence in the German SME sector
- Strengthening the team with additional experts
Conclusion: Berlin as a Center for Cybersecurity Innovation
Berlin has established itself as an important hub for DeepTech and cybersecurity startups. Events like the Pitch Day at Club Schokoladen show that the city has a vibrant and innovative founder scene. The combination of technical excellence, supportive community, and increasing investor interest creates ideal conditions for startups in the cybersecurity sector.
I'm curious to see what the next months will bring. One thing is certain: The journey continues, and I look forward to shaping it together with the cybersecurity community.
